Rejuvenate Your Soul in Nature - A Workshop on December 3rd, 2022

Get away from the city and participate in a workshop in rural Micanopy, the oldest inland city in Florida.  This gathering is outdoors under a canopy of ancient live oak trees and lakeside in an open field.  You may feel the energetic field of the trees, the caress of the wind, and be soothed by the sounds of nature around you.  You'll be spending the day doing activities together, relaxing, unwinding, socializing and allowing Mother Earth to transmute your stress with others who will hold space for you to shine your light. The Sasquatch, spirits of the land, fairies, gnomes and elementals will be happy to see you.

The Workshop: This event begins promptly at 9:00 am.  Provide ample time for travel, traffic and parking. You will begin your day with a meditation and meeting the other participants.  You will be broken out in groups to do a group activity and after lunch, more activities, a group past life regression and finish the day with a meditation.

What to bring:  November mornings can be chilly and then warm up as the sun shines brighter.  Each guest brings their own lawn chair, pillow and blanket, head covering, sunscreen and insect repellant and a pot-luck dish to share and socialize during lunch.  By presenting a drivers license, you will receive a welcome package and rent a Silent Sound Headphone to be used during the event. These headphones allow you to set up your lawn chair anywhere on the property and still hear everything perfectly. 

Filming/Photographs:  Portions of this event will be photographed and filmed.  You will be required to sign a photo release form during registration.

Caution:  You will be in nature and there is a possibility of encountering many different types of birds, fire ants, spiders, ticks, snakes, frogs, squirrels, racoons, deer.  Florida Sandhill Cranes frequently traverse through the property.  Many alligators and turtles live in the lake.  Wildlife should never be approached, disturbed or fed. 

Accommodations:  If you are coming in from out of town and would like to share a hotel room with someone, let me know after you register and I will put you in touch with the other participants to see if they would like to share expenses.  (Onsite accommodations are not available for this event)

How to pronounce Micanopy  (mick-uh-no-pee)

The Town of Micanopy encompasses 1.03 square miles near the Alachua-Marion County line in rural north-central Florida between Gainesville and Ocala.  It's where the 1991 film "Doc Hollywood" was filmed. It's a quiet town with several antique stores. Many stores are closed from Monday - Thursday but open on the weekends.  My home is surrounded by ancient oak trees draped in Spanish Moss.  

Hotels:  Gainesville, the home of the University of Florida, is located 15 minutes north of Micanopy.  Ocala is 30 minutes south of Micanopy.  You may want to check out Micanopy's historic Herlong Mansion Bed & Breakfast.

Driving directions: Take I-75 north to exit 374 (Micanopy).  Head east and follow the signs to Micanopy.  You can also reach Micanopy via State Road 441.

Traveling by Air:

  • Gainesville Regional Airport is 30 minutes north of Micanopy and has a few American Airlines and Delta flights each day.
  • Ocala International Airport is approximately 30 minutes south of Micanopy
  • Orlando International Airport is approximately 1.5 - 2 hours south of Micanopy
  • Jacksonville International Airport is approximately 1.5 hours northeast of Micanopy.
